Finally, the long nights
of waiting in the darkness are over. All the ridicule suffered by the past Principled
leaders of our wonderful profession who stood loyally by our Vitalistic Philosophy,
is being vindicated today. The tremendous surge of new research into the Vertebral
Subluxation Complex (VSC) is overwhelming the enemies both within and outside
of our profession. All those people who criticized Palmer and the wonderful pioneers
who believed in Chiropractic Philosophy are now being criticized themselves for
having short sighted tunnel vision within the healthcare paradigm. Because we
now have many modern diagnostic tools and procedures that are readily available
to us, our research into the philosophical aspects of Chiropractic is now possible.
The concept that there exists within a human being an inborn intelligence that
controls all functions of the body and that Chiropractic Specific Adjustments
will allow this inborn intelligence to restore a human being to optimal health,
is quickly becoming a scientific fact. Some researchers are speculating that this
will happen within the next 10 years.
ODOC and the ICA are truly excited about this, not only for being on the cutting
edge of modern Chiropractic research but for having held fast to the Chiropractic
Principles that were given to us by our founding father, Dr. D.D. Palmer. The
days of verbal abuse from arrogant Medheads are over. Subluxation Based Chiropractic
is now in a strong growth mode and will soon be the majority concept within our
noble profession once again. The membership ranks of the ICA and ODOC are growing
which shows the direction our profession intends to go. The leadership of ODOC
couldn't be more pleased. D.D. & B.J. were just a couple of brilliant guys who
were one hundred years ahead of their time. Now, the clinical evidence is finally
coming in which proves that Chiropractic Care for infants and children is not
just desirable, but absolutely necessary to achieve optimal health. Even television
interviewers are approaching Chiropractic Care for children in a very positive
manner. Do you actively encourage your patients to have their infants and children
under Chiropractic Care in your practice for the correction of subluxation? If
not, why not?
Even though I see Chiropractic
Miracles in my practice on a regular basis, it has always been a very difficult
event to describe to those who have never experienced one in their clinic. However,
nothing can compare to receiving a phone call from a new Principled member of
ODOC who was a former non-believing medipractor, and listening with tears in your
eyes as he relates to you his very first Chiropractic Miracle. That my friends,
is truly an indescribable event! That's what ODOC's "Doctors helping Doctors Program"
is all about. All we are doing in ODOC is allowing others within our profession
to see the light that was ignited on September the 18th 1895, in Davenport, Iowa.
