Dr.
John Cafferty is a practitioner of traditional Chiropractic as discovered, developed
and practiced by the Palmers. He faithfully follows the thirty three principles
or laws of Chiropractic Philosophy which serve as a foundation for the Science
of Chiropractic. He received his doctorate in Chiropractic from Cleveland Chiropractic
College in Los Angeles, California and has also earned a bachelor's degree in
Human Biology. He is a past president of Oregon Doctors Of Chiropractic (ODOC)
and is a member of ODOC's Leadership Council, and has served ODOC as Convention
and Seminar Chair and editor of the "ODOC Newsletter." He was awarded
Oregon's "Chiropractor of the Year" for 1999 - and again in 2003 - by
his peers in ODOC. After three years of intensive post-doctoral studies and passing
twelve rigorous examinations, he was awarded Diplomate status in the International
Chiropractors Association (ICA) Council on Applied Chiropractic Sciences (DACS)
on December 15, 2000. On June 9, 2001, the ICA invested Dr. Cafferty with its
highest and most prestigious title: "Distinguished Fellow" of the International
Chiropractors Association (FICA). In August 2002, Dr. John was awarded a degree
in Chiropractic Philosophy, LCP from Palmer College. After passing the required
board examinations, Dr. John graduated again on November 11, 2005 and received
his diploma as a Diplomate in Philosophical Chiropractic Standards (DPhCS), his
second board certification. This New Diplomate program was sponsored by Palmer
College and the International Chiropractors Association.After completing the required course of studies and passing the necessary examinations, in January 2007, Dr. John received his certification as an Industrial Injury Evaluator (CIIE).
Dr. Cafferty is
a proud member of the following National and International associations: the International
Chiropractors Association and its Council on Applied Chiropractic Sciences and
the council on Chiropractic Philosophy, and presently serves the ICA as a Assembly
Representative the State of Oregon, the World Chiropractic Alliance (WCA) where
he serves as a member on its International Board of Governors representing the
state of Oregon. He is also a member of the board of directors of the WCA Council
on Addictive and Compulsive Disorders. Lastly, he is an ambassador for the Chiropractic
Leadership Alliance.
Dr. John Cafferty states
to fellow doctors: "It's not that Subluxation Centered Chiropractors can't
use drugs, it's that Subluxation Centered Chiropractors refuse to use drugs!"
